THE STORY OF THE BEARD
THE STORY OF THE BEARD
Ben’s journey into photography wasn’t a straight line—it was an adventure.
Classically trained in painting, he’s always seen the world through the lens of light, color, and storytelling. While working as a paramedic on the set of Disney’s John Carter, he found himself drawn to cinematography, stepping behind the camera to shoot short films and assist on set. That curiosity soon turned into a full-fledged career.
Over the years, Ben has directed and photographed lifestyle campaigns for bicycle teams, sporting goods brands, firearm companies, and even worked in broadcast for rodeos and concerts. With a deep understanding of cinematic lighting, branding, and visual storytelling, he’s worked with Canon, Nikon, RED, Panavision, and Arri—adapting to any creative challenge. One of his proudest projects, the Utah Firefighter Calendar, raised over $10,000 for the American Cancer Society.
But beyond commercial work, his greatest passion lies in helping people see themselves in a new light—literally. That’s what led him to boudoir photography.
For Ben, boudoir isn’t just about creating stunning images—it’s about creating a transformative experience. It’s about showing women the confidence, strength, and beauty that has always been there, even when they’ve doubted it. His goal is for every client to leave their session feeling empowered, celebrated, and seen.
When he’s not behind the camera, you’ll find Ben:
- Training for his next Strongman competition
- Spending time with the HBIC, Callie the Sheepadoodle
- Coaching at the gym
- Serving as President of the Ogden Astronomical Society
- Exploring the mountains, fly rod in hand, waiting for the perfect trout to rise
