THE STORY OF THE BEARD
Classically trained in painting, Ben sees light, color, and storytelling in a unique way. While a paramedic working on the set of Disney's John Carter, Ben entered the world of cinematography and began shooting short films and assisting on sets.
Through cinematic lighting & coloring, as well as skills in marketing, branding, and sales enablement, Ben has directed & filmed dozens of campaigns, using both motion and still photography. Focusing on the feelings created, Ben has shot lifestyle campaigns for bicycle teams, sporting good stores, firearm companies, as well as filmed & worked broadcast for rodeos and concerts.
Familiar with Canon, Nikon, RED, Panavision, and Arri, Ben brings a wealth of experience and adaptability to any branding or awareness campaign. His passion project, the Utah Firefighter Calendar, has raised over $10,000 for the American Cancer Society.
His long love for astronomy and specifically, astrophotography has elected him as the President of the Ogden Astronomical Society were he volunteers in his local community by hosting public events, educating, and encouraging young and old to look up at the heavens.
Over the past few years, he's directed his passion in Boudoir Photography where he creates experiences that empower women and promote celebration of self-love. The people he shoots often leave transformed with a new confidence and appreciation for themselves they never had before or hadn't felt in a long time.
When he's not behind the camera, Ben's training for his next Strongman competition, coaching at the gym, looking through a telescope, or hiding the mountains with his fly-rod in hopes a trout will rise.
