Welcome to the new Blog. For those of you who follow the inner workings of my words of photo and cinema, I currently streamlining my online delivery methods. This includes a major update and change of the very blog you are reading. Blogger has been a great home for the past 3 years, but the time has come for change and upgrades to where I can easily deliver more education and information related to all things Photography.
With this new setup, I'll be able to blog more frequently and be a better attendee to posting more often, with less periods of silence and negligence.
In other news, the image seen above took second place in the Utah State Fair in the Professional Division- Group Portrait Class. This had to be one of my most memorable and favorite concepts I have done, as the results ended up exactly like the pre-visualization I had in my head. This shoot was 2 years in the making fromt the first visualizations to delivery of the final images. The shoot also offered some of te most technological challenges in the areas of lighting the shot as I used 5-6 lights to get the composition just right. In Addition to placing locally, the image was also selected for publication in Strobox's 2012 book. |

Gerald Garcia - Big Ben,
First of all; THANK YOU.
I'm out of Riverton, Utah and I have to tell you that I loved seeing familiar locations sites that you used for your fantastic tutorials. Your behind the scene video's have been very educating and calming by showing that it's possible to produce high quality professional portraits without having to spend an enormous amounts of money. The past 20 months I've invested, { or allocated monies for equipment, one piece at a time every payday ) in basic equipment needed such as a desktop Mac, Nikon body, stock lenses, Wacom tablet. I've been learning PS6, LR4 and just barely learning about studio light, {Alien Bees, Pocket wizards} and different delivery systems like beauty dishes, soft box and umbrella's. I feel overwhelmed and need to get a good solid workflow structure.
Also, I need to sharpen up my people / client skills. I need some guidance and want to be around people that I can learn from. Do you ever need anybody on your shoots to help out setting up and helping out or can you point me in a direction locally where I can get the help I need.
Once again THANK YOU for the great tutorials they have are very educational.
